Classes

Prepare for Pregnancy

In this 90 minute class, we will discuss everything you need to know about how to nutritionally prepare for a healthy pregnancy.

Who should attend:

  • Women that desire to conceive within the next year
  • Women coming off of the birth control pill with intention to conceive
  • Women who have had struggles with fertility
  • Women who have had past pregnancies, but wish to make changes in their nutrition or supplement plans for next pregnancy

The class will answer the following:

  • What should I eat? Foods for fertility and what to avoid.
  • What exercise should I do? How the kind of exercise you do can affect your fertility.
  • What supplements should I take and when should I start taking them? There are so many options! Let’s talk about supplement quality and what specific nutrients are key if you are stopping the pill.
  • What environmental pollutants do I need to be cautious of when I am trying to conceive? We live in a toxic world and can only avoid so much.
  • How might my mental emotional state (and stress!) affect my ability to conceive? The mind has powerful influence over the physical body. We’ll talk about and share resources for prepping your mind for a healthy, happy, pregnancy.

PLUS discussion time to make sure all of your questions are answered about how best to prepare your body to grow a healthy baby!

Phew…that’s a lot to cover in 90 minutes!

Participants are encouraged to bring current prenatal support supplements for label reading review.

Class is limited to 8 participants in order to ensure each participant receives individual attention within the group setting. While we believe partners play an equal role in fertility, the class is limited to female participants. We encourage you to share what you learn in class with your partner!

2019 Class Dates TBD. Please submit your information using the Contact form indicating your interest in preconception planning classes.

Did you know that over 50 million Americans strugg Did you know that over 50 million Americans struggle with acne each year, and no, they are not all teens! If you're struggling with adult acne you are not alone.

The root causes of adult acne may vary, but knowing what they are and addressing them at the source is the best way to not only clear up breakouts but prevent them in the future. 💪🏻

I know what you're thinking..

"That's an avocado!"

Yes, you're correct but it's also widely known as an Alligator Pear 😎

Avocados are loaded with fiber and potassium, designed to aid in bloating and gas, while at the same time, their natural high content of fat helps you feel full for longer periods of time.

The fats that are contained in an avocado are actually heart healthy fats and aid in cardiovascular function. ❤️

What's your favorite way to enjoy this fruit? Let me know in the comments below 👇🏼
How magnesium can benefit your blood pressure 👇 How magnesium can benefit your blood pressure 👇🏼

Magnesium functions to alter the contraction and dilation of blood vessels. More contraction and stiffer vessels = higher blood pressure. 📈

More dilated and relaxed blood vessels = lower blood pressure. 📉

Research has shown that magnesium can support the ability of the blood vessels to dilate, and reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

So, how do you know if you're getting enough magnesium?

Anything that twitches, cramps, or spasms may be a sign of low magnesium status!

Another way to look for magnesium levels is by checking intracellular magnesium or RBC magnesium. I can help you check this with labs 😉

If you're low, try adding one or more of the sources mentioned above 👍🏼
