The Fertility Formula

Did you know that the eggs that will be fertilized begin developing in your ovaries  about three months before conception occurs?

The three month window before you conceive is your opportunity to set yourself up for next-level fertility.

The Fertility Formula is based on over a decade of clinical experience working with women to improve their fertility. In the Fertility Formula, we will provide the education you crave about how to formulate the perfect pregnancy.

Why the Fertility Formula?

As I set out to become pregnant for the first time, I was struck by the lack of great resources for women that are trying to conceive for the first time. I wanted a manual to tell me what I should do to get my body in the best health possible before I became pregnant. When I realized that this manual didn’t exist, I developed a formula for women to follow to not only learn how and what to eat, but also how to learn about their hormones and bodies.

I am the proud mother of two children who conceived easily and went on to have amazing birth experiences. I’ve been working as a physician for almost a decade with women of all ages to help balance their hormones and believe in their bodies. My years of practice have taught me that although no two women are exactly alike when it comes to balancing hormones and conceiving, there is a basic formula that lays the foundation for success.

This program is 100% virtual, so anyone, anywhere can join.

A healthy pregnancy and an empowered mama leads to healthier generations. By investing the time to learn about nutrition and your body before you become pregnant, you will influence your children’s health and the health of future generations.

Egg quality (EQ) is difficult to assess. Unless yo Egg quality (EQ) is difficult to assess. Unless you are undergoing IVF, you’ll only know you have a quality egg when it fertilizes, implants into the uterus, pregnancy is achieved, and the pregnancy progresses. That’s because egg quality is assessed by genetic testing. Wouldn’t it be nice to know what those eggs are up to before you try to conceive?

Some clues to poor EQ are:

🥚 Anti-mullerian hormone may be low (But NOT always, AMH alone does not indicate egg quality!)
🥚 Antral follicle counts
🥚 Unexplained infertility at a younger age
🥚 IVF attempts without success
🥚 Advanced maternal age

How do we support EQ from a natural perspective? We think about addressing the hormone environment in which the egg develops through nutrition, supporting follicle development with key nutrients, and also addressing mitochondrial function.

Remember that the follicle that you ovulate this month has been in its pre-development stages for the past three months. That’s why it’s a good idea to start working on EQ at least three months in advance of intentional conception attempts (or IVF) if you’re concerned EQ may be an issue for you.
The ONE book I believe each and every woman should The ONE book I believe each and every woman should read, "Taking Charge of Your Fertility: The Definitive Guide to Natural Birth Control, Pregnancy Achievement, and Reproductive Health” by Toni Weschler 📚

This book contains great information that is beneficial to women who are interested in learning how their reproductive hormones work- whether you are trying to conceive or not! It’s so important to understand how your cycles ‘should’ work, so then if something is off, YOU might be better able to understand why. That’s the best part of this book- it puts you in control of understanding your cycles.

Do you have a specific book that you always recommend to others? Drop a comment below and let me know what book I should be adding to my summer reading list! ☀️
There are many reasons why a patient may decide to There are many reasons why a patient may decide to seek out a naturopathic doctor to treat their symptoms.

They're looking for:

✔️ Greater focus on natural health and wellness
✔️ Seeking an alternative to drugs or surgery
✔️ Wellness and prevention
✔️ Second opinions

Instead of just treating the symptoms (AKA the "bandaid" approach), a naturopathic doctor will take a look at all of the body systems when evaluating the patient. This helps to ensure that we are treating the patient and not the disease!
